The utility company shared the details via its official X account, urging residents and businesses to prepare for the disruptions. Here's a breakdown of the affected areas and timings:
North Rift Region
- Nandi County: Emrok area, including Emrok Tea Factory, Kamalel Primary School, and surrounding customers, will face an eight-hour blackout from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
South Nyanza Region
- Kisii County: Botori Market, Botori Secondary School, Gesero Secondary School, Iyabe Hospital, Misesi, Sigisi, Mwata, Erina Market, Misisita, Nyachenge Market, St. Reuben’s School, and adjacent customers will be without power from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Mt. Kenya Region
- Nyeri County: Ragati Tea Factory, Gatei TBC, Gatei Market, Ragati Forest Station, Safaricom Boosters, Airtel Boosters, and adjacent customers will experience a full-day outage from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
- Kanyagia Market, Kieni Diary, Demka Diary, Solio Ranch, Solio Water Pump, Solio Lodge, Solio Cattle Dip, Solio Village, and adjacent customers will also face a full-day outage during the same period.
