Just days after the Dodgers celebrated their World Series victory, a shadow fell over Dodger Stadium as federal immigration agents were spotted gathering once again. This unexpected presence has reignited a wave of controversy and concern within the community. But why were they there, and what does this mean for the team and its fans?
On Tuesday morning, November 4, 2025, dozens of federal immigration agents were observed in a Dodger Stadium parking lot, specifically Lot 13, just outside the stadium gates. This occurred merely one day after the team returned home to celebrate their back-to-back championships with thousands of enthusiastic Angelenos.
Eyewitness accounts, shared with The Times and on TikTok, described agents in unmarked vehicles, wearing green vests, and equipped with white zip ties. These agents, estimated to number around 100, were reportedly from Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Customs and Border Protection (CBP), including a special tactical unit. The agents departed the area shortly before 10 a.m.
And this is the part most people miss... The staging of these agents is not an isolated incident. In fact, it echoes a similar event that occurred just five months prior. Back in June 2025, protests erupted outside the stadium gates when federal immigration agents attempted to enter the main parking lot. After being denied entry, they relocated to a road leading to parking lot K, where they established a staging area used for processing individuals arrested in a nearby immigration raid.
But here's where it gets controversial... This earlier operation sparked significant public outcry. Demonstrators gathered outside Gate E, and a U.S. citizen reported being detained for hours, allegedly overhearing agents boasting about the number of detentions. This led to over 50 community and religious leaders signing a petition urging the Dodgers to publicly condemn the raids.
In response to the June incident, the Dodgers stated they had no involvement in the operation. They also announced a commitment of $1 million to support families affected by the raids and pledged to explore further initiatives. Team president Stan Kasten emphasized the team's commitment to supporting and uplifting the communities of Greater Los Angeles.
