Meanwhile, the international box office, excluding figures from China, is anticipated to reach approximately $18 billion, indicating a 5% rise compared to 2025, yet still 11% under the pre-pandemic average.
Regionally, Gower Street Analytics has broken down the overseas market projections as follows: EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa) is estimated at $10.05 billion, representing a 7% increase from 2025 but a 9% decrease compared to the 2017-2019 average; the Asia Pacific region is forecasted at $5.3 billion, showing no change from the 2025 estimate and a 15% drop from the previous average; and Latin America is projected to reach $2.65 billion, which is a 9% increase over 2025 and only a 5% decline from the 2017-2019 average.
