To honor your dedication and ensure a winning team, we recently embarked on an extensive review of our entire football operation. With the help of Sportsology Group, we've conducted a thorough assessment, identifying areas for improvement. And here's where it gets controversial: we're not just making minor tweaks; we're implementing significant changes to our structure and leadership.
Our process involved an honest evaluation of every aspect of our football team, from decision-making processes to internal communication. Last night, we announced a pivotal step: a new head coach and general manager for the 2026 season. But that's just the beginning of our new era.

The search for our new head coach and general manager is underway, and we've engaged ZRG Partners and Sportsology Group to assist in finding the right candidates. We're casting a wide net, seeking individuals who understand the current NFL landscape and can guide us toward future success.
A new president of football will be joining our organization from outside. This leader will set the vision and identity for our team, and both the head coach and general manager will report to them. This collaborative leadership team will work together on all football decisions, with the president of football having the final say. They'll also work closely with the club's president and CEO to align football and business operations, ensuring success on and off the field.
As part of our succession planning, Greg Beadles has stepped up to the role of president and CEO of the Atlanta Falcons, taking over from Rich McKay. Greg will continue overseeing the Falcons' business affairs and collaborating with the new president of football to ensure a winning product on the field.
Under the leadership of the president of football and with input from Greg, our new head coach and general manager will implement further organizational changes we've identified. Sportsology will assist with restructuring the front office. This process will continue in the coming months leading up to the 2026 season.
A New Focus for Rich McKay
Rich McKay, who has played a pivotal role in the Falcons' success over the years, will now be able to dedicate his full attention to critical initiatives within the broader Arthur M. Blank Sports and Entertainment organization. With Greg Beadles taking on the CEO role, Rich can focus on major events like the 2026 FIFA World Cup and the 2028 Super Bowl at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, as well as renovations and the launch of our new NWSL franchise.
